COSMETIC DENTISTRY

O'Reilly Dental aims to provide patients with affordable cosmetic dentistry in Rockhampton. Our cosmetic treatment can improve the appearance of a patient's teeth, gums, bite or overall smile. We provide a thorough consultation and discuss the result you would like to achieve. Your dentist can then recommend the most suitable cosmetic option based on your needs, current dental health and your budget.

CROWN & BRIDGE WORK

Crowns are made from either porcelain or gold and fit over existing teeth to add strength. Where a tooth has been heavily filled or had treatment on the root, a crown is used to reinforce the remaining structure of the tooth. Dental bridge work involves replacing a missing tooth by joining an artificial tooth to a crown. In all cases, we will retain as much of a patient's tooth as possible.

If you have a badly damaged tooth that requires treatment,
book an appointment with one of our dentists.

VENEERS

At O'Reilly Dental, we can apply both porcelain and composite veneers for cosmetic or health reasons. Veneers are applied to the surface of the tooth to conceal damaged, discoloured or misshapen teeth.

Porcelain veneers require some surface removal prior to application, while composite veneers can be applied to the natural tooth's surface with minimal preparation. A consultation with one of our dentists can determine your suitability for veneers.

TEETH WHITENING

All-natural teeth are prone to discolouring. This can be affected by age, diet, lifestyle and even some dental treatments. At O'Reilly Dental, we recommend speaking to your dentist about the most appropriate, and the safest treatment to whiten your teeth. We are happy to recommend in-chair or at-home treatment options for teeth whitening.

DENTAL THERAPIST/HYGIENIST

Regular check-ups with our dental hygienist can help you maintain good oral health. Your hygienist will assess your teeth, bone and gum pockets and provide a thorough cleaning. Any calculus that has built-up can be gently removed before a final polish to leave you with a fresh, healthy smile.

Our trained and experienced dentists & dental staff always make sure you are comfortable at all times during the treatment.

CUSTOM SPORTS MOUTH GUARDS

A custom-fitted mouth guard is the best way to protect your teeth from serious injury or trauma while playing sport. At O'Reilly Dental, we have a variety of colours and sizes to choose from and we provide a complete fitting service. This ensures adequate protection of the teeth and jaw while you are on the field and can reduce the chance of significant damage. O'Reilly Dental proudly uses Playsafe mouthguards recommended by Sports Medicine Australia.

Visit one of our dentists to find out more about our colours and styles of sports mouth guards.

SMILE MAKEOVERS

Transforming your smile does not always require extensive dental work. Small, subtle changes can also have a big impact on the appearance of your smile. If you are unhappy with your smile, we recommend arranging a consultation with one of our dentists at O'Reilly Dental.

During this consultation, you and your dentist can discuss the options for creating a more natural smile or for a complete 'Hollywood' smile transformation. Our range of treatment options includes
cosmetic, restorative and rehabilitative dental work to enhance the appearance of teeth, gums and overall appearance of the mouth. Looking for inspiration? View some of our completed smile makeovers.

WISDOM TEETH

The first sign many patients have of their wisdom teeth is discomfort or pain. Wisdom teeth are usually removed when there is not adequate room in the jaw for the teeth to grow.
O'Reilly Dental can perform a comprehensive assessment of the area to determine the need for surgical removal, or for patients that can safely have the teeth removed in the dental chair.

If you are experiencing pain or discomfort associated with wisdom teeth, please phone and
make an appointment today.

SLEEP APNOEA APPLIANCES

If sleep apnoea is a problem for you or a loved one, O'Reilly Dental can help. Oral appliances such as sleep apnoea splints can provide relief for patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). Similar to a dental mould or mouthguard, these appliances help to keep the airway open, therefore reducing the noise caused by the movement of obstructive tissue.

Many sufferers of Sleep Apnoea have enjoyed relief from regular appliance use. For a comprehensive assessment and discussion of your condition, please
contact O'Reilly Dental.

ORTHODONTICS

At O'Reilly Dental, we want our patients to be confident and comfortable with their smile. We assess and provide treatment for crooked teeth, overbites, overjets, gaps between the teeth and corrections of malocclusions. Patients with these problems may also experience greater difficulty cleaning and tooth wear, or problems chewing.

Our dentists can treat all patients with individually tailored braces or orthodontic appliances to correct these issues.

DENTURES

Dentures are a cost-effective treatment option for replacing damaged or missing teeth. At O'Reilly Dental, we provide full, partial or implant-retained dentures to suit the needs of our patients. Some patients find tooth loss an unfortunate association with dental trauma or periodontal disease which may have led to the early loss of teeth. Our caring dental team can discuss the range of denture options with patients in detail.

We recognise the need for effective functionality, comfort and appearance in your dentures, so let us tailor the right solution for your needs.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

A dental implant is made from a strong biocompatible material (such as titanium) and used to replace missing teeth. Many patients opt for dental implants instead of partial dentures as they are the closest thing to a natural tooth. The implant is inserted into the jaw bone and left to fuse. Once the healing period is complete, an artificial tooth is connected to the implant.

You can
make an appointment with O'Reilly Dental for an implant consultation.
